/ About the Project As of today, it is estimated that there are more than 7 billion humans living on Earth. Humans have only been a glimpse in the Earth’s timeline, yet in the last 200 years the evolution of mankind has skyrocketed as well as the need for Earth’s resources. Skyscrapers are growing taller than the next, like huge trees battling for sunlight. At night, from a higher point of view, traffic evokes lava flowing down a volcano. Like a giant ant colony, humans have made this planet their own. But what about the Earth? Can we continue to take without consequences? The City Limits tries to show that even though we are the dominant species on the planet, there is something bigger than us. In Carl Sagan’s own words “Our planet is a lonely speck in the great enveloping cosmic dark. In our obscurity, in all this vastness, there is no hint that help will come from elsewhere to save us from ourselves. It is up to us.” Human progress and technology are developing at exponential rates but at what cost? Where is the city’s limit? / Technical Info Camera: Canon 5D Mark II Lenses: Canon 14 II, Canon 24 II, Canon 70-200 / Licensing For licensing information please visit: www.dominicboudreault.com/licensing / Connect with Me Website: www.dominicboudreault.com Twitter: twitter.com/domboudreault Instagram: instagram.com/dominicboudreault

Toronto Skyline Porn is what its title implies -- a full frontal visual journey through Toronto's growing skyline. The scenes were shot over the past few years from different heights and in different seasons. Ive enjoyed showcasing Toronto in the past in a more warmhearted tone but with the evolution of the city over the last 4 years I figured a skyline short was fitting. I used a modified GoPro on a DJI Phantom 2 for the aerial shots. The exact set up can be found at Peau Productions: http://tinyurl.com/lbpjhlk All other scenes were captured with a Canon 5DM3 using various lenses. ABOUT Tendril is a relatively young studio and we are always looking for ways to experiment with the brand and its possibilities. We hope you enjoy this sound-synchronized logo reconstruction sequence. If you have seen our 2011 Showreel, you may recognize some of the animation, which was intercut there to form a visual backbone for the edit. Once the animation was complete, we sought out the musical wizardry of John Black who initially worked to find a tempo that worked with the flow of the visuals, and then gradually built up the final track in layers, adding sound design elements to synchronize with the different geometric elements. In January 2010, we sat together in earnest to look back at years of working together. We wanted to rediscover our inspirations for getting into the industry and identify the things that were killing our inspiration. We talked about what stories we had to tell and what emotions we wanted people to feel. We all agreed that our best work had yet to be conceived. Out of that conversation was born the idea of creating a visual manifesto. Each statement in this manifesto is a short work that stands on its own, but together the collection of works will form a vision of who we are and where our passions lie. Each of the works is also conceived and led by one of the artists on our team, who pitches it to the group. The work is then executed with the support of the entire studio. The first of these works, entitled 'SEED' is now complete. Our longtime collaborator John Black of Cypheraudio: http://www.cypheraudio.com worked closely with us early on in the process to help establish the mood of the piece. As the visuals evolved, so too did the sound, going through several re-inventions before settling on the final. Please Check back to this page for more installments in this series of works! If you like my work please visit www.reemond.com I love this city. As tribute, I’ve pieced together thousands of photos that I think capture Toronto’s beautiful skyline, and the essence of the lively downtown core. All but one of the scenes in this time-lapse were shot between September and October of this year. In some ways, my presentation of Toronto is a follow up to a recent summer fling in Ottawa, where I produced Capital Cruising; thanks to CTV Ottawa’s interest in using the video as an introduction to their 6 o’clock news, I was able to devote myself to the creation of what I hope is a piece that everyone in the city can enjoy. Thank you to CTV Ottawa for utilizing my last video Capital Cruising (http://vimeo.com/26830842) for their 6 o’clock news segment, which indirectly funded this project. Thank you, Matt Black, of One King West hotels. You gave me the opportunity to behold some of the best views of the city. You should make this hotel a priority if you are visiting! http://www.onekingwest.com/ Thank you 1loveto for keeping in touch these past couple months and launching the video. Check them out at: http://www.1loveto.com/ Thank you to my family, Jon B, and Martin L. In the future, I’d like to set my sights on Vancouver, and my camera on the province’s sprawling landscape. Or a longer, properly funded Toronto film. If you have any interest in helping me accomplish this goal, e-mail me at: ryaneemond@gmail.com. Music by myself (c) 2013 THANKS FOR ALL YOUR COMMENTS :)) All imagery recorded from www.here.com. All movements handmade. Look pimped in FCP7. This is a personal project, there is no commercial use. Thanks to the friendly Nokia and Here.com staff for leaving me alive :) I stumbled upon this super awesome service a couple of months ago and I was really impressed. Unfortunately my graphic card (GT8800) was not powerful enough to realize my idea. I tested a lot of screen recorders, but all of them throttled the fps of the footages and the results were always too jerky at 720p...:( Meanwhile I had to upgrade my card (for another reason) (HD5770) and I tested it again - and it worked much better! :) Stay tuned on facebook.com/paul.wex.films :)

Tags are keywords that describe videos. For example, a video of your Hawaiian vacation might be tagged with "Hawaii," "beach," "surfing," and "sunburn."
