/ About the Project As of today, it is estimated that there are more than 7 billion humans living on Earth. Humans have only been a glimpse in the Earth’s timeline, yet in the last 200 years the evolution of mankind has skyrocketed as well as the need for Earth’s resources. Skyscrapers are growing taller than the next, like huge trees battling for sunlight. At night, from a higher point of view, traffic evokes lava flowing down a volcano. Like a giant ant colony, humans have made this planet their own. But what about the Earth? Can we continue to take without consequences? The City Limits tries to show that even though we are the dominant species on the planet, there is something bigger than us. In Carl Sagan’s own words “Our planet is a lonely speck in the great enveloping cosmic dark. In our obscurity, in all this vastness, there is no hint that help will come from elsewhere to save us from ourselves. It is up to us.” Human progress and technology are developing at exponential rates but at what cost? Where is the city’s limit? / Technical Info Camera: Canon 5D Mark II Lenses: Canon 14 II, Canon 24 II, Canon 70-200 / Licensing For licensing information please visit: www.dominicboudreault.com/licensing / Connect with Me Website: www.dominicboudreault.com Twitter: twitter.com/domboudreault Instagram: instagram.com/dominicboudreault

SkyMotion Video was proud to be part of the team behind the 2012 Tourism Partnership of Niagara commercials for the Niagara Falls region - produced by HLP + Partners. This video is NOT the tourism commercial, but instead a collection of some of our favorite shots. The SkyMotion Video team provided the aerial video services for the shoot - making use of their state of the art remote controlled helicopter drone. Niagara Falls has of course been filmed countless times in the past using full sized helicopters. However, with this remote controlled helicopter, the shoot was not limited by minimum altitude restrictions, and so was able to achieve shots which were unlike any before. Flying only a couple feet above the water, the camera was able to approach the waterfall edge to give the viewer a true sense of the shear scale of the world famous falls. However, the Niagara region is not limited to just the falls. The surrounding area is full of beautiful landscapes with quaint towns, and world class vineyards. The area is full of life, and the hope is that these dynamic shots give a real sense of the variety of things offered by not only the falls, but by the region as a whole. When asked how we felt about piloting several thousands of dollars over the edge of the Falls, system pilot Chuck Taylor had this to say: "If it were to fall over the Falls, or into the ocean, or even from 100 feet in the air into a parking lot, the end result is pretty much the same. When it is juxtaposed against one of the most powerful natural structures in the world, it simply gives the illusion of being more dangerous than a typical flight. To be honest, the shots in the Jackson Triggs wine cellar was the most nerve-racking, as clearances were often less than one foot." This said however, the team was concerned about mist from the waterfall interfering with the sensitive electronics on the system, and so the flight path was limited to an area between the actual Falls edge. and the large cloud created by the turbulent water below. Hopefully keen viewers will enjoy the 'shower cap' seen over top of the central hub in some of the shots. :-) For more information, please visit: www.SkyMotionVideo.com

If you like my work please visit www.reemond.com I love this city. As tribute, I’ve pieced together thousands of photos that I think capture Toronto’s beautiful skyline, and the essence of the lively downtown core. All but one of the scenes in this time-lapse were shot between September and October of this year. In some ways, my presentation of Toronto is a follow up to a recent summer fling in Ottawa, where I produced Capital Cruising; thanks to CTV Ottawa’s interest in using the video as an introduction to their 6 o’clock news, I was able to devote myself to the creation of what I hope is a piece that everyone in the city can enjoy. Thank you to CTV Ottawa for utilizing my last video Capital Cruising (http://vimeo.com/26830842) for their 6 o’clock news segment, which indirectly funded this project. Thank you, Matt Black, of One King West hotels. You gave me the opportunity to behold some of the best views of the city. You should make this hotel a priority if you are visiting! http://www.onekingwest.com/ Thank you 1loveto for keeping in touch these past couple months and launching the video. Check them out at: http://www.1loveto.com/ Thank you to my family, Jon B, and Martin L. In the future, I’d like to set my sights on Vancouver, and my camera on the province’s sprawling landscape. Or a longer, properly funded Toronto film. If you have any interest in helping me accomplish this goal, e-mail me at: ryaneemond@gmail.com. Music by myself (c) 2013 THANKS FOR ALL YOUR COMMENTS :)) All imagery recorded from www.here.com. All movements handmade. Look pimped in FCP7. This is a personal project, there is no commercial use. Thanks to the friendly Nokia and Here.com staff for leaving me alive :) I stumbled upon this super awesome service a couple of months ago and I was really impressed. Unfortunately my graphic card (GT8800) was not powerful enough to realize my idea. I tested a lot of screen recorders, but all of them throttled the fps of the footages and the results were always too jerky at 720p...:( Meanwhile I had to upgrade my card (for another reason) (HD5770) and I tested it again - and it worked much better! :) Stay tuned on facebook.com/paul.wex.films :)

Turn up your speakers. enjoy. ---------------------------------------------- When I started timelapse photography a year ago I thought it would be something I could just jump right into and master, as I've been taking stills for nearly a decade now. But I was quickly humbled by the medium as I struggled to put together worthwhile footage after repeated early attempts. This, I realized, was a whole other animal. Over and above all the technical challenges — motion control gear, constantly changing light, aperture flicker — shooting a timelapse forces you to look inside: after setting up your shot, there’s often not much you can do for hours, but sit up there and ponder while the camera does it's thing. The relationship between the cold glass, steel and concrete below coupled with the often majestic clouds, sky and sun/moon never ceases to be a source of wonder. And so the purpose of what you’re doing becomes a frequent question in your mind. With City Rising I wanted to bring others up to this perspective, and from here, show them the city as they have never seen it before — where the boundary between earth and sky is unclear and the placid beauty of the city lays spread out below, quietly humming along. City Rising takes the viewer straight through rush hour traffic to the highest urban peaks and the clouds above it all, all in under four minutes. What are Tags?

                      Tags

Tags are keywords that describe videos. For example, a video of your Hawaiian vacation might be tagged with "Hawaii," "beach," "surfing," and "sunburn."
