This short video was filmed in 3 out of the 4 spots we visited in Myanmar. Here are brief descriptions of each: 1. Mandalay - This was the highlight of our time in Myanmar. We were able to rent a motorbike and see the country on our own terms. The roads were chaotic and intimidating to navigate; at intersections, if you stopped you were doomed. You had to just go. This section was filmed mostly in the area South of Mandalay. It includes some farming techniques that were very popular 200 years ago. The making of Pasi (shredded coconut and cane sugar wrapped in dough and deep fried). We stumbled into a small, quiet village on the river where Yvonne and I formed instant friendships with the locals. Yvonne was led into her 'sister's' room where thanaka, the gold colored cream that the women apply to their face to stay cool and keep their skin healthy, was applied while I bonded with Mr. Mad and went to his house to watch him work his peanut farm. Everyday was sunny and hot with temperatures topping out around 104° 2. Bagan - The land of 10,000 temples. The sunrises were breathtaking but the place was overrun by tourists. After two days we had enough. The heat was intense here with temps around 104° and limited options to escape the midday sun. 3. Inle Lake - Home of the famous Shan leg rowers. They were so smooth and graceful but unfortunately we didn't film them at all, only my futile attempts on a back channel. We got to see some traditional craftwomen in action and we especially enjoyed going to a house to see how they hand roll local cheroot cigars. Like Bagan, Inle Lake was crawling with tourists so on our second day we stayed on land and found some really delicious street food consisting of fried rice cakes. Yvonne volunteered to help make fresh squeezed sugar cane juice much to the vendor's delight while I challenged the old men to a game of checkers. We finished the day on the football pitch when we decided to follow a monk carrying a ball under his vestments. We followed him to the field and watched as he and his fellow monks turned their robes into shorts. Shortly thereafter, I joined the game and had one of the most unforgettable afternoons of my life. Stay tuned for the next video featuring Yangon, Bangkok, and the Golden Triangle Filmed by: Yvonne Yuen & Nikolas Pattantyus Music by: Dengue Fever

Project for MACA Advanced After Effects at Macomb Community College. The assignment was to create an animation that was a minimum of thirty-five seconds. The class had complete creative freedom for each individuals topic and style. I decided to create something that was a glimpse into my creative process. Any project I start on almost always begins with me scribbling lines and seeing the shapes that emerge from all of the intersecting lines. https://www.behance.net/gallery/24788625/Inspiration-from-the-Scribbles Music: http://freemusicarchive.org/music/Nic_Bommarito/Harp_Fragments_1626/Nic_Bommarito_-_04_Casiotone_Waltz
