More photos and info on our blog - http://thewerehaus.com/2015/01/fotomish-photographer-travis-jensen/ I met photographer Travis Jensen through Jan Swayze who is a close friend of mine and also WEREHAUS. We were having lunch one afternoon and mentioned he was doing the designs for their new brand called FOTOMISH. I was following Travis on Instagram already so was familiar with his style of photography. A few months later when I was driving across the bay bridge, I thought of Travis and how he would be a good subject for WEREHAUS video. To them, photography’s about being outside and experiencing the city. It’s a way for them to interact with people, and possibly get into interesting situations. -Brian

Brainstorm is a new feature in which we will introduce various people that we collaborate with on projects. The first episode focuses on San Francisco based street photographer Travis Jensen, who is responsible for the images contained on DGK's Killin' It and Brash Delivery graphics. Many people have asked how Travis is able to get such candid photos on the street. So, we decided to take a journey up to San Francisco and capture him in his element and have Travis explain his technique and show you exactly how he approaches his unique style of photography. Be on the look out for more of Travis' images on DGK products in the future. He's definitely one of the best at what he does. I finally got time to edit some more video from my U.S. tour this summer. I didn't shoot quite as much as I had planned, but it was still enough to create a story about two talented photographers, Brad Evans and Travis Jensen, as I got to know them on my trip. In the process I developed a lot of respect for their photography. They spent a year shooting and then creating a photo journal about San Francisco's Tenderloin district. It's a very underserved neighborhood that many consider as rough on the edges. I spent a lot of time there, but I didn't shoot too much because it can be dangerous to visit and play tourist with a camera. Travis used to live in the Tenderloin as a young man and both him and Brad have a good understanding and awareness of the area's dynamics. Instead of showing only the bad side of the neighborhood that other photographers have emphasized in the past, Brad and Travis were determined to portray the area's positive aspects. The book's profits are donated to a social charity in the neighborhood that helps at-risk youth living on the street. www.sidewalktalk.dk
