Kempton Steam Museum is home to the worlds largest functioning triple expansion steam engine; located next to it’s static brother. In their day, these engines each pumped 19 million gallons of water to North London and, apart from periods of maintenance, worked 24 hours a day, seven days a week, from their installation in 1927 to their decommissioning in 1980. Restored by volunteers over a 7 year period. The engines were opened to the public in 2002. This short film is about the unique friendship between the retired volunteers who keep the engine going and the Engine itself. Featuring Ray Marie, Ron Early, Peter Matthews, John Henna and Eric Voles Director - Chris Du’Mont Director of Photography - Oliver Sugars Camera Assistant and Sound - Charlie Bird Editor and Colouring - Chris Du’Mont Original Score - Charles Morris Produced by Colab Media Special Thanks to - Kempton Steam Museum - http://www.kemptonsteam.org Knock Knock Productions
