James is a living example of the success of the Horizon Christian Fellowship Vision Statement, which is “Win a person to Jesus Christ, Disciple a person in Jesus Christ, Send a person out for Jesus Christ”. In 2003 as James was sent out from Horizon he began driving from San Diego to the La Quinta to teach a weekly Bible study. During the months of driving back and forth every week from San Diego to La Quinta, James felt God prompting him to permanently move to the desert. Having been trained in San Diego, this was very unfamiliar territory, not to mention very hot in the summer time, but he knew the desert area was the place to which God was directing him and his family for the purpose of moving forward with New Era Outreach. Guided by their faith in God, James and his family moved to the desert in order to move forward with the ministry, but God had other plans for him as well. The Lord tested James for a time to see whether or not he would obey Him, keep His commandments, and stay faithful to the call. For over a year-and-a-half, James potted plants at a local nursery, worked as a janitor at a local storage facility, worked as a desk clerk in a hotel, pumped concrete, and worked at a dry cleaners in order to provide for his family. During this time, James continued to plan and organize the ministry that he knew God had called him to. He incorporated New Era Outreach, shaped the vision and mission statements and put together a Board of Directors. During this time the leadership of Horizon Christian Fellowship witnessed the hand of the Lord upon his life and ordained James as a minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. To date, New Era Outreach has conducted outreaches within small towns, apartment buildings, ministered to a host of families and individuals in the desert communities, with many more outreaches planned for the future. Through his service to the Lord NEO has ministered to thousands of people throughout Southern California. James his wife, Valerie, and their two daughters Kimora and Amaya recently moved back to San Diego, California. In addition to being called back to San Diego by the Lord to serve through New Era Outreach, James is currently teaching at the Horizon School of Evangelism, hosting Urban Mission Teams and continuing to plan future outreaches. James’ burning desire is to continue traveling community- to-community preaching and teaching the gospel of Jesus Christ. I first met James and heard him speak while in San Diego this past February. I was moved by his passion for Christ and the lost for which He died. At that time I invited James to come to Truckee. It is my prayer that our hearts will not only be stirred by the teaching and preaching of this evangelist but that we will also gain a greater desire to share the love of Christ with our family, friends and neighbors who do not yet know Him.

In this video pastor Jesse finishes our study in the book of Judges. Where is your relationship with Jesus? As this dark book closes the bible tells us the people of Israel did what was right in their own eyes and that there was no king. In our day we worship the resurrected Jesus who is our king! Do you seek Jesus in all that you do? or are you like the people of Israel who do whatever they "feel" is right? Get on tracj with Jesus, listen in and learn from the word of God.

Pastor Brian Larson says that however else they may vary, there are always the same two aspects to the testimony of every born-again believer's testimony of how they were saved ... God's part, drawing people to Himself, and our part. What IS our part? Watch this message, "Doing Our Part," message #28, in Pastor Brian's verse-by-verse Bible study of the Book of Romans.

what does the death of John the baptist teach us? Allot actually! For one it teaches us the cost of following Jesus. It also shows us how the gospel needs followers who are willing to take the good news even into the darkest of places.
