Deadly Wonderland - Dance Loop Assignment by Daniel Olivas This introduces my new puppet and his killer moves. While the assignment was to create a dance loop to "Boogie Wonderland," The film was inspired by Les Twins and the design influenced by the Haunted Mansion. I decided to create my own version of the song and dance. No filters were used in the video, and no post production. What you see is what you get! I composed the song myself using soundbites from the Earth Wind & Fire song.

A sandwich is about to be eaten when it decides it will not go quietly. My (kinda dumb) stop-motion short for a stop-motion animation course at the UCLA Animation Workshop. The course was taught by Mike Johnson, co-director of Corpse Bride. The puppet has a wire armature, with a styrofoam head. Mouth shapes were drawn in Photoshop, and then printed and attached to paper, cardboard, and thumbtacks. Images were captured using Dragonframe. A backdrop of a meadow was green-screened in. Emezie Okorafor provided the voice with improvised dialogue (check out his Youtube channel!). -UCLA Animation Workshop 2013-

Parenthood ain't easy. This labor of love was inspired by my difficult munchkin, whom my hubby and I love and adore, but struggled dearly to appease during her first months in this world. All characters and props were fabricated from the Amazon cardboard boxes her baby gear arrived in. Pieces were then scanned and manipulated in After Effects and Final Cut. While the short is minimally-animated, spastically-timed, and probably leaves you thinking, "Wahhh? That's it?!?" I am still proud to have finished the project while juggling a newborn. To my dear friends, Alexis Block and Jeffrey Fletcher: Thank you for making this possible.
