Amy Martin will speak on how Taoism enabled her to escape a dysfunctional family, all because her future father-in-law, a Baptist, gave her a copy of the Tao Teh Ching. Taoism lies at the heart of what it means to be human. In this fractured age, Taoism unites by deriving its spiritual metaphors from the one thing we all share: the nature of our planet. Though ancient, Taoism is fully compatible with science, expanding what we define as nature from the infinitesimal quark to the infinite universe. Taoism is the original roots religion. Everything old is new again. Come discover Taoism.

In January 2005 I participated in a Gathering of Unitarians and Universalists from emerging groups in several Latin American countries. With the help of another participant, Samuel Rosales, I was able to gather enough footage to make a short video introducing each participant and documenting various aspects of the Leadership Training provided. I think we captured the enthusiasm and beauty of the gathering, which took place in San Nicolás de los Arroyos, Argentina.
