Short documentary showing extracts from the workshops held in Acco exploring Hamlet. A research in an immersive adaptation of Hamlet using artists from Israel and Britain. A cross disciplinary project fusing theatre, dance, music, installation art and circus developed in collaboration with Acco Theatre Centre in summer 2013.Director Keziah Serreau and the lead artist, Amie Burns Walker. Video artists Ben Foot and Valentina Floris (SDNA). Hamlet is about grief. Each character grieves for the loss of someone that has suffered a violent death. Polonius is stabbed, The King is poisoned and Ophelia drowns. This is a theme much closer to home for Israeli and Palestinians as it is a reality for many people and we want to bring the significance of this to a British Audience.

An audio visual film derived from material used in Folded. Folded is a live audio visual stage performance co produced by SDNA (UK) and Ticonzero (Italy). It is the first chapter of an artistic research which aims to investigate the interaction of various live media and the integration of different artistic languages: audio visual, sculpture, fashion, physical performance and theatrical process. The performance is divided into 8 parts (the maximum number of times paper can be folded) and explores the physical and metaphysical properties and potentials of paper. Paper is the starting point for all of the artists. The costume, designed by Cabinet of Curiosity using origami techniques, is made out of paper, all of the visuals are filmed events or animations derived from paper and Alessandro's music is composed using sounds of paper. The performer, Nina Fog, plays a creature born from paper who constantly transforms herself, reinventing her corporeality. This video mix contains the results of a 2 hours workshop with 60 young people aged between 11 and 13. The workshop was structured around the idea of emergent and generational identities, to explore traditional and emerging rituals, life styles, values, and preferences of young people from Brighton and the Cherokee Nation. The young people were asked to create content for an animation while questioning the way they feel about themselves and their culture. The Cherokee Nation Project is a digital cultural exchange between school students in Brighton, UK and Cherokee school students in Oklahoma, USA. This project aims to use digital media to significantly enhance the way that existing cultural exchange programmes between schools are run. The idea is to test and develop ways of using technology to encourage school students from different cultural and historical backgrounds to engage in real time interaction, to co-create content and to use visual and story-telling media, enabling them to build strong relationships through a mutual understanding and knowledge of each other. Five schools have agreed to take part. In Brighton & Hove, they are Blatchington Mill and Cardinal Newman, and in Oklahoma they are Fort Gibson, Maryetta and Cherokee Nation Immersion. The project is managed by Wired Sussex and the Cherokee Nation Foundation.

Steven performed a programme of Bach's Solo Suite No 3 and Britten's Solo Suite No 3. Ron Arad's Curtain Call is a spectacular 360° installation consisting of 5,600 giant silicon rods, suspended from an 18 metre diameter ring - a canvas for films, live performance and audience interaction.

97hz is a theatrical performance for a solo actor with live audio and visual performers. Loosely based on text from “This Blinding Absence of Light” by Tahar Ben Jelloun the piece explores a man's solipsistic journey in the absence of light and human contact. It takes us through the nightmarish and sublime as dreams and reality, the inner self and the outer world become increasingly indistinguishable. “A single actor on stage, out of the context of his own body, reinvents different possible lives. He becomes a live installation, immersed in a dark and sonic liquid. Time and man become variables; limits vanish and open up in turn to sensorial awareness, crisis, endurance, urge to escape, and exploration. We assist to a suspension, an inner pause, which recalls quietness and the searching for different possible truths. It is a travel that, like a wave, pushes away from personal microcosms to come back with new awareness and fullness.”Alessandro Olla 97Hz springs from research into the simultaneous use of different artistic languages: dance, sculpture, theatre, music and video. The project examines a new kind of expressive grammar dissolving the lines between artistic disciplines. 97hz was originally developed in Cagliari, Italy and was first presented at Tropea Teatro Festival 2010. It has also been presented at XXIX Festival Spaziomusica, Autunno Danza 2011, Cagliari and Computer Arts Festival 2011, Padova. It is performed in Italian but is currently being translated into English. 97hz is an ongoing project and we are always looking for new opportunities to show and develop it.
