Facebook : http://www.facebook.com/maihammedia Spend 1 minute at Nikko Circuit backwards, this snippet of video footage. The DVD is still set on course for a mid to near end of year release. Drifting seems to be climbing at an amazing pace and if your not entering corners backwards your not trying hard enough. Nikko is a great circuit to find out where the current level of drifting is at. Drivers from all around Japan travel to Nikko so its a real treat to see so many different driving styles. ------------------------------------------------------------- Music Rolling Stones - Paint it black

    • Tony Angelo / Ryan Tuerck Missile Launch Party!!

On October 22nd, 2010, I traveled to Engilshtown Raceway to film a "missile day" with Tony Angelo and Ryan Tuerck. Ryan and I arrived at the track while Tony was having a battle with his own car. After picking up an FC in Florida, Tony made the trek up to NJ, blowing up 2 turbos in the process. Once at the track and two laps in, Tony destroyed a third turbo leaving him without a missile for the day. Thankfully, Ryan's brother Justin lent Tony his car for only 30 minutes, giving us enough time to shoot this video. Ryan's car, on the other hand, had it's own problems throughout the day (missing key = hot-wiring the ignition, e-brake failure, front and rear main seals leaking *12 quarts of oil were used in the course of three hours at the track*) Enjoy it, because we sure didn't.

The idea for this video came from a night of goofing off with friends and tossing ideas around. When this song began to play in the background, I knew I had to edit a drift video to it, but not just any drift video. That's when I decided to make a video using only the help of wearable/mountable cameras. Many questions arise when considering such a project. How will I get my hands on enough cameras? My old, broken GoPro SD sure wasn't going to cut it. And then, once I have enough cameras, how can I mount them in ways that keep the viewer interested throughout the entire video? I can assure you, this was a slightly daunting prospect that quickly found it's home in the recesses of my mind. That is, until Antonio Alvendia introduced me to Jason from ContourHD at the Apex'i/Lexus debut party in Seattle. I swear, that guy knows everyone! This video is far from perfect, but I feel it captures some of the excitement and carefree qualities of drifting that are often difficult to see or feel through a lens or computer screen. I chose to leave the colors/exposure/contrast/everything alone with this video. There is zero color grading and very little audio mixing. My intent was to not only create a fun, relaxed drifting video, but to also show the grassroots drivers what these cameras are capable of straight out of the box. A huge thanks goes out to Jason at ContourHD for making this project a possibility. Without the help of the ContourHD 1080p, my dream of an all point-of-view drift video may have never come to fruition.

After 6 years of BAD luck, mechanical failures, worthless OE parking brake, BMW limp-mode and overall course intimidation... I did it. This is the run where the odds finally stacked in my favor, and I shattered my long-standing Road Atlanta curse. 180 horses in a 3300lb car on the most frighteningly fun track I know of. I never thought I would see the day that I could get this car to navigate the track like this. Special SPECIAL thanks to Kieran from Gran Turismo East, Matt from Foerst Motorwerks, and Chet from Yokohama Tire for all the AMAZING support to help make this run so intensely bitter-sweet. Thanks to Will Roegge and Joshua Herron for the footage!

Dean "Karnage" Kearney and Team Intec Racing (the ORIGINAL Team Awesome), with support from sponsors V-LEDs, ContourHD, Konig, Exedy, and many others, are just getting the 2010 Formula D season started. The car is starting to get dialed in, getting faster and smokier with each set of tires. Many Formula D rookies would be satisfied with simply qualifying, but to us it's not good enough! See you in Atlanta!
