SYNOPSIS: Sometimes is a lyrically rich Acid-House infused track originally released by Max-Q 1989; this grinding psy-trance remix released on compilation Hacking The Reality Myth was released by Psy-Harmonics. It was remixed by cross genre's Ollie Olsen & Nick Taylor. The visual approach taken with this track was a concerted experiment (in a series of experiments titled Transposed Elements c1997) by VJ Mandala (Adem Jaffers) in real time video scratching and digital video playback with multiple samples using more stop start playback along with frame shuttling; using the process of video file selection as a cut mechanism to new video sequences in realtime; and mixing with only a single 24-bit hi-res still (max allowed on hardware) and with a spectrum of FG strobing color animations and partial fading into the strobe to see how the eyes persistence of vision would behave with particularly (high) contrasting imagery. Whilst attempting to use complimentary strobe colors. Used Deluxe Paint, Elan Performer and Moviehshop, Opal Paint software on Amiga 1200 and 2000 (w/ Vlab Motion Card) computers genlocked together.

SYNOPSIS: Overdose, is a relentless track released by Psycho Disco on the album 'Psyko Disko' via Psy-Harmonics. It was created by Fred Disko, Steve Psyko and Ollie Olsen. The visual element is a concerted experiment in real time digital painting of 2 simultaneously mandalas done to the music - using DPaint software on an Amiga 1200 and 2000 computer genlocked together c1997. Similar to the 'Kondativita' experiments, this Realtime Gorilla Paint Jam used BG strobing and partial fading into the strobe to see how the eyes persistence of vision would behave with (high) contrasting mandalas. The interface of the software pops up intermittently (on purpose) to reveal mouse selection of color cycling palette selections etc. Other animation rate etc functions were realised with hotkeys.

Similarly to visual approach taken with the track Get Away (v02), the visual element is a concerted experiment in real time digital painting of 2 simultaneously mandalas done to the music - using DPaint software on an Amiga 1200 and 2000 computer genlocked together c1997. Symmetrically, 16 & 8 sided mandalas were used in conjunction here. The interface of the software pops up intermittently (on purpose) to reveal mouse selection of color cycling palette selections etc. Other animation rate etc functions were realised with hot-keys. This was the first in a series of similar experiments. SYNOPSIS: Ancient Suns is a deep and visceral psy-trance track released by Fluro Conspiracy on the compilation Hacking The Reality Myth released by Psy-Harmonics. It was created by psy legends Geoffrey Hales and Ollie Olsen. The visual approach taken with this track was a concerted experiment (in a series of experiments titled Transposed Elements c1997) by VJ Mandala (Adem Jaffers) in real time video scratching and digital video playback (with a single sample) and mixing with only a single 24-bit hi-res still (max allowed on hardware). This Realtime Gorilla Paint Jam used a spectrum of FG strobing color and partial fading into the strobe to see how the eyes persistence of vision would behave with the hi-res radiating rings of a static color spectrum. Where the varying strobe colors interplay with corresponding rings (colors) on still image. Thus altering area affected by persistence of vision on retina of eye. SYNOPSIS: Nobody is a futuristic psy-trance track released by Psyko Disko on the album Psycho Disco and compilation Hacking The Reality Myth released by Psy-Harmonics. It was created by the unique collaboration of Ollie Olsen, Fred Disko & Stiv Psyko. The visual approach taken with this track was a concerted experiment (in a series of experiments titled Transposed Elements c1997) by VJ Mandala (Adem Jaffers) in real time video scratching and digital video playback (with multiple samples), mixing with only a single 24-bit hi-res still (max allowed on hardware) and with a spectrum of FG strobing color animations, partially fading into the strobe to see how the eyes persistence of vision would behave with the hi-res radiating rings of static color spectrum. Where the varying strobe colors interplay with corresponding rings color on still image. Thus altering area affected by persistence of vision on retina of eye. Concentric ping-pong loops of movement nested within the linear timeline of the sampled video sequence were created by shuttling FWD & BWD in micro and macro steps; using hot keys as a method for transitioning to coincide with flow of music. Sampled frames were 2fr long so there is slight movement when shuttle across them. Certain circular alignments occur between 2 or 3 different layers – this is a result of intentional sampling images with a general central placement in mind. Used Deluxe Paint, Elan Performer Opal Paint and Movieshop software on Amiga 1200 and 2000 (w/ Vlab Motion Card) computers genlocked together. This was the first in a series of similar experiments.
