1. Beer Bottling

    from William Hellmuth Added 91 1 0

I got my hands on some vintage lenses, so I thought I'd test them out while I bottled some home brew. Shot on the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera (bmpcc). Lenses: Kern Switar 16mm f1.8 (c-mount) Vario-Switar 18-86 f2.5 (c-mount) Nikon 50mm f1.4 (G mount) The first few shots (burner & sink) are the 18-86mm lens. Everything after that is the 16mm, until the very last shot, which is the 50mm.

    • Cinegon 10mm f/1.8 on BMPCC

      from R73 Added 1,302 18 2

These are some wide angle shots from different places in Berlin, all captured with the Schneider Kreuznach Cinegon 10mm f/1.8 on the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera (BMPCC). Most of the images were shot at apertures between f/4 and f/8. At the end of the video you will see some night shots at f/1.8. The lens is very tiny and does not vignette at all. To prevent vignetting you should use big filters. The lens' front thread is 55mm but I use a stepup ring to attach 72mm sized nd- and uv/ir-cut-filters. Take a look at my blog post (in german) for some more info about this lens and other wide angle lens options for the BMPCC: - http://www.r73.net/2015/07/02/schneider-kreuznach-cinegon-10mm-f1-8-bmpcc/ In several images you might notice some hair in the upper right corner which is from the deadcat of my videomic pro. Sorry for that. I thought I attached the mic far away enough from the lens but obviously I didn't. Edited down from a chilly winter's day running around Princes' St Gardens with a Nebula 4000 3-axis gimbal stabiliser, and a Sony a7s. Enjoy - and let me know what you think! The footage has been stabilised in some shots, but not most of them. This was a test piece, so there's probably some dodgy bits in there!

My younger brother Eric is kinda a airplane geek. Seriously. Like Really. All kidding aside, He is an amazing, highly intelligent kid when it comes to anything plane related. He could spout out all sorts of terminology that most of us wouldn't understand. I wanted to get practice on a narrative/mini-doc film, and Eric was volunteered. :) To make your life easier, I have links below to most of the planes and places Eric mentions in the video. I was lucky that being his brother, I knew Eric's Rc journey really well. BUT, if I had not known anything about Eric, it would have been much harder to dig the story from him. 2: You can't control everything. I think we tried like 3 or 4 times to get the outdoor shots of Eric flying. He had flown that plane many times without any malfunction, but every time we got a camera out there, something would break! It defiantly tested my patience. In the end I missed some of the great light I was hoping for, but it still turned out ok. Thanks for watching!

gato feliz media is located on 5 E. Citrus Ave., #205, Redlands, CA, 92373. The alley right under the studio window is going through the remodeling in the video. Witnessing the ground breaking ceremony was informative and it was exciting to witness this new project and the potential for it in the city of Redlands. For this short, the Sony a6000 was used with a 1970 Sears 50mm lens using a K style adapter. Enjoy!

Test video only, not StrangeCo's usual stuff. I needed a subject to shoot to test out the new Sony a7s. The cat obliged. Sorta. Shot with the a7s using a Contax Zeiss planar 50mm f1.4 lens. Normal overhead lighting, nothing else.

                  from R73 Added 2,402 34 8

This video was shot with my Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera and the Angenieux 17-68 f/2.2 zoom lens which was invented in 1956. My copy is maybe 30 or 40 years old, I don't know exactly. I really like the visual character of this lens. It produces some beautiful and dramatic flares, as you can see in the video. The Angenieux 17-68 f/2.2 is a 16mm lens but it covers the BMPCC's Super16-sensor almost completely. It only vignettes at 17mm at its closest focusing distance and apertures smaller than f/5.6. Take a look at my blog post (in german) for some more info about this and other things related to this lens: - http://www.r73.net/2014/10/30/angenieux-zoom-17-68-bmpcc/ All of the images were shot in film log mode at ASA800 in ProRes 422 without an UV/IR cut filter and slightly graded (lift gamma gain and added saturation) in FCPX. Shot & edited by Roman Mischel (R73.net). Music composed by Chris Zabriskie (chriszabriskie.com) who shares his songs under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 license.
