1. Alex & Lisa // 2people1life - Penang, Malaysia

    from Nigel Sia Added

Alex and Lisa - the crazy duo travelling the world and getting married in every country they visit. Imagine my surprise when Alex emailed me back after I popped them one back in 2013 saying that they were finally coming to our shores in Malaysia. What culture would they get married in? Where would it happen? Since Malaysia is a multi-cultural country, I had some ideals of my own but thankfully with the help of Sherly, Agnes and Caroline, we got our heads together and planned the entire thing with a couple of days to spare before the actual wedding date. After reaching out to people who were interested in Alex and Lisa's wedding, we concluded that they would be celebrating their union with two ceremonies; the Chinese gate-crashing/tea ceremony together with the Malay 'merenjis' or blessing ceremony at the Pinang Peranakan Mansion that would be an awesome backdrop for all its elements combined. After visiting Johor and Malacca, Alex and Lisa finally arrived in Kuala Lumpur and we met up with them briefly before they traveled north to Cameron Highlands and taking a short break at The Banjaran in Ipoh. Lisa documented it really well and you can read all about it here: http://2people1life.com/qun-kwas-songkets-and-kawan-in-malaysia/ Soon enough, Penang was next and we had these incredible people who were based in Penang to thank for: Floral arrangement by Agapanthus by Harry, hair and make-up by Angela Kang, Malay traditional wedding attire by Kerawang Klasik Bridal and the Chinese traditional wedding attire by RedKnot. I couldn't be more happy on the day itself when there was a ton of beautiful light coming in the Peranakan Mansion as Alex and Lisa got ready and got down to the two ceremonies with full of excitement, happiness and meaning all around. You can read up all about it (with amazing photos by Caroline!) here : http://2people1life.com/wedding-in-penang/ Congratulations Alex and Lisa on completing your 69th wedding here in Malaysia. On behalf of the team, thank you for the friendship and I can certainly say that both of you are officially family now. :) #2people1lifexPenang _____________________________ Wedding Planners: Vanilla 'n' Lace (comprising of Sherly from Tie The Knot and Agnes from Prep) http://vanillanlace.com http://facebook.com/vanillanlace.my https://instagram.com/vanillanlace Photographer: BlueCicada Photography - Weddings & Events http://bluecicadaphotography.com http://facebook.com/BluecicadaPhotographyWeddings https://instagram.com/bluecicadaphotography/ Flowers: Agapanthus by Harry http://facebook.com/agapanthus.by.harry https://instagram.com/agapanthus.by.harry Hair and Makeup: Angela Kang (Penang) Traditional Malay wedding attire: Kerawang Klasik Bridal https://www.facebook.com/pages/Kerawang-Klasik-Bridal/170243413007458 Traditional Chinese wedding attire: http://redknot.com.my Wedding Venue: Pinang Peranakan Mansion https://www.facebook.com/pages/Pinang-Peranakan-Mansion/149886941741889 _____________________________ For bookings and inquires, surf to: http://facebook.com/VisualStory http://nigelsia.com

Her smile that brighten everything around, even after by exchanging a few words, her voice lingered on his mind and even though almost missing an opportunity in asking her out, he persevered and found ways to capture that chemistry that was so deafening and striking between them at the end with a simple phone call. The full version of this film can be seen at Top Shorts Film Festival on July 1st - 15th, 2015 at http://www.topshorts.net/#!still/cmdh If you like what you see here, please share and vote for it. Thank you! ------------------------------------- Dance is a universal language. With this in mind, filmmaker/choreographer William Lu explores the idea of using dance and movement as dialogs in a narrative film about love, longing, and loss. STILL tells a story of two souls who are bound in a cycle of uncertainty . Disjointed dialogues, empty embraces, and opposing desires impede the young man's waking hours as he struggles to come to terms with their reality. Is it just another mundane day, or is she merely pieces of his memory? Is he ready to embrace her or has he found enough courage to let go? Featuring Joachim Maudet and Courtney Anne Russell W2 & Dancers Production

As a boy growing up in Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia Canada, I would stand beside my mom, handing her wet shirts, towels, dishcloths as she hung our laundry to dry. Humming absentmindedly, she’d smile as our neighbour emerged, laundry basket in hand, to do the same. “Morning,” mom would say as the women began chatting, linked by their friendship and shared experiences. It was storytelling at its most authentic. Those stories - told over the clothesline - inspired my life’s work as a storyteller.
