A 3 minute film by Carpinteria-raised filmmaker Grace Jackson about the small community of Carpinteria, California fighting back in a present day "David vs. Goliath" struggle against the Venoco, Inc. oil company. Venoco is trying to do an end run around the City and the public review process by promising millions of dollars the community may never see, at the same time not revealing the true health & safety risks of their 175 foot high Paredon oil drilling project located between a residential neighborhood and a nature preserve. An ever-growing body of evidence points to the conclusion that oil drilling within the City's limits will be unsafe for the community and pose great risks. No amount of money can make it safe.
