The Walker Art Center Teen Arts Council (WACTAC) sat down with graphic designer Anthony Burrill, who lives and works on the Isle of Oxney in England. He shared the process and insight behind making his bold designs that combine strong color and a witty use of language. For this Top 5 video we thought it would be appropriate for him to share his favorite sayings. Anthony's work is currently on view at the Walker in the exhibition Graphic Design: Now in Production, and you can visit more of his work on his website here: www.anthonyburrill.com Filmed and Edited by WACTAC member Henry Willette, 2011

Andre you forgot about the fire Michael O'Malley Walker Art Center and Machine Project Summer Jubilee at the Walker Open Field July 18th-29th 2011 “Andre you forgot about the fire” is a project by sculptor Michael O’Malley. It is a gesture that remakes one of Carl Andre’s now iconic firebrick pieces, Equivalent. The remaking serves as both remembrance and prelude; once completed, the piece becomes source material for the making of a temporary pizza oven. This shift marks a further extension into the use of everyday material to include conversations about the built environment, DIY, and vernacular culture as artistic practice. It also produces some of the best-tasting pizza you’ll ever have, and creates a hands-on workshop setting for learning how to build your own brick oven. For the Walk Art Center: Night School class we were to take a piece of work from The Designer as Producer exhibit and make a piece of work based off of it and it would go into a four page spread. Everyone in the class got four pages and we created a book. I had title sequences as my selection of works so I created a title sequence for the entire class and exported each frame and put them all across the four pages (little tiny pictures) which each page being a section of a school which we attend and the last page being the walker art center. The idea of the title sequence was to show each school's location and travel from one to the next and all end up at the walker art center, using stop motion photography with motion graphics on top for the names. Enjoy
