I produced and directed this commercial for Clark College in Vancouver. It features their soccer team. We shot on the Red One Camera and used a golf cart to follow the action as the lead player rushed past the defense to score a goal. The spot won a Telly Award.

1129 20th Street is located on the East Side of 20th Street between L and M Streets, NW in downtown Washington, DC. The eight-story structure was built in 1968 and has had no significant upgrades since its construction. Originally it was about 135,000 gross square feet. Through the use of Transfer Development Rights, the building was increased in height by two floors. Additionally, open courts at three corners of the existing floor plate were filled in at each floor. All together, this increased the existing gross square footage by more than 45,000 square feet. The new 20th Street façade is a unitized glass and metal curtain wall system. It is a calculated sophistication that allows views out and natural daylight in. The new additions and renovations to 1129 20th Street have breathed new life into an old building. They provide a state-of-the-art work environment that is now competitive with the Washington Class A market. This design will serve as a more timeless expression of the building’s structure, enclosure and internal functions.

It can be a long way up to the career of your dreams. Clark College provides the "elevator" to help you get there. This is the second in a series of concept commercials I developed for Clark College in Vancouver, Washington.

We had an interesting day snowboarding at Mt. Baker. The forecast called for 'mild' temps and about a foot of snow. Fifteen inches of snow fell in 33 degree weather. This provided the equivalent of snowboarding on a gigantic world made of mashed potatoes. It was that snow that spontaneously grabs your edges and flings you helplessly onto your face. As you can see, that happened here a couple times. I titled the video "humiliation" because we started off the day getting worked on the first run in front of everyone. It set the tone for the remainder of the day. The entire vid was filmed with a GoPro Hero HD with a nice wide angle lens. The timelapses were done with this camera as well. The footage is right out of the camera and the only edits are a few transitions here and there. Overall, the camera is very nice. It's waterproof and bombproof. The only gripes I have right now are: 1. It looks HIDEOUS as a large block attached to your forehead. Side mount is probably worth it. 2. The joints on the mounting arms have smooth interfaces, causing them to slide when shaken vigorously. You can see this on the 'behind the foot' shots. They could have put teeth in those joints and I bet it wouldn't slip so damn much. =)

The concrete jungle turns out to be wilder than most people think. The hidden lives of urban wildlife (including eagles, osprey, deer, and for the first time, coyotes) are revealed through high-tech cameras and the work of urban conservation pioneers.

                      Tags

Tags are keywords that describe videos. For example, a video of your Hawaiian vacation might be tagged with "Hawaii," "beach," "surfing," and "sunburn."
