A few weeks back we took a trip down to White Salmon, WA to connect with our friends over at Substantial Media House. We had mentioned a few months back that we were wanting to test the waters and see what we could produce with some elite kayakers. With the majority of the shots going into Substantial's next webisode, we picked out a few to give a sneak peek and a little behind the scenes of what went into making the shot! www.shiftedcinema.com Special thanks to Subsantial Media House http://www.substantialmediahouse.com

#whyMTB: a series by Kitsbow www.kitsbow.com -- What is the meaning of mountain biking? Why do we ride? In this continuing Kitsbow video series, we explore what it means to ride from the motivations and perspectives of those whose efforts have lent the sport meaning to our own lives. In this fourth chapter, we are introduced to the Evergreen Mountain Bike Alliance — a Seattle area advocacy and trailbuilding group committed to making Washington State one of the best places in the United States to ride a mountain bike. With a résumé featuring successful bike festivals, ride parks, urban unification projects, and incredible backcountry-caliber trails, there are fewer organizations that know how to bring people together to ride better than Evergreen. This is an aerial glimpse at the rebuilding effort currently taking place a year after a EF-4 tornado severely damaged the town on 11/17/13. Last year I was sent to my hometown to cover the tornado for CBS 2 news out of Chicago and spent the next month on and off producing multiple stories on the clean-up efforts. Now one year later I am returning again to show the incredible rebuilding that has already taken place. This video is my gift to the town I call home. Also available in resolutions up to 4K here: http://youtu.be/TnfRxSiiUB8?list=UUaA3Yv9nFERJ-omT-tq-ZLQ Shot using a DJI Phantom 2 quadcopter with a HD-H3 gimbal attached to the GoPro Hero 4. GoPro footage was shot in 4k resolution in 24p Protune format. Edited in Final Cut Pro X. Music by Tony Anderson. Still photos taken with the iPhone 5S last year while on assignment in Washington.
