Christian Taylor, Arc Solutions CEO, is on the ground in Gaza visiting our local partners, Caritas Jerusalem. Today he spent time talking with people to hear their story and hear their needs. The recent conflict has destroyed many homes and buildings. It almost looks like there was a giant earthquake. Tomorrow he will visit our current project site where pipeline is being restored to provide access to clean water for about 273 families. Arc Solutions is focused on eliminating waterborne disease in conflict zones. In this video, Joe explains how the Air Mobile Rescuer works. It is Portable, Simple, Powerful, and Efficient . We have used this machine around the world in some of the worst disasters imaginable. like Indonesia after that terrible tsunami, Haiti after the giant earthquake and in Japan after the earthquake/tsunami combination of 2011. Everywhere we go, the machine is welcomed with joy because water is so important and in such short supply after major disasters. Our family spent time in Haiti working in the tent cities helping people with food water and also encouragement. We will never forget that trip. We still travel to Haiti on a monthly basis bringing in water purifiers. We have found that water continues to be a very serious problem in Haiti. One in seven Cambodian children will die before his or her fifth birthday because of waterborne disease. The Trailblazer Foundation, a hands-on non-profit committed to serving Cambodians with sustainable, location appropriate technologies, attempts to combat this by providing clean drinking water filters to villages in the Siem Reap province.

What makes her tick? What - in her opinion - could and should be the female contribution to sustainable economic development worldwide? And last but not least: what does a perfect picture of the Nile basin look like? Both ENDS has been working with Abby and the NBD for a few years now. We admire Abby's strength, her expertise and her leadership and we intend to support her work wherever we can.

A short video update from the Goldin Institute team visit to Mindanao, Philippines to meet with our Global Associate Susana Anayatin and the GI Philippines team in October 2012. In addition to strategic planning for 2013, we were able to visit project sites from the Adopt a School of Peace project and visit seven of the schools (out of 41) where access to safe drinking water stations were installed as a part of our ongoing project. As part of a regional effort to focus attention on the critical need for safe drinking water and environmental sustainability, the Goldin Instititute Philippines is now leading a multi-sector partnership to provide drinking water and environmental conservation curriculum to schools in Mindanao.
