Yerba Mala Nunca Muere: The Story of La Mancha del Jardin, chronicles the history of the pioneering rock band from the west coast of Puerto Rico in the early 90's. Although La Mancha del Jardin never reached mainstream success they were the seed of an independent musical movement on the island that still resonates today 25 years later.

crochet/knitting project documenting the process. this is a ten hour project and this is a gift. this is how I will wind down after working a graveyard shift. the process becomes the significant part. Once I give it away, how will I remember i ever made it. This is a glorifying work that usually isn’t showcased. This is not a way to tolerate my involvement in wages for the sake of capitalism, but the self care needed to be brave and critical of this relationship for myself. . music by Karl Blau, the song is called "before telling dragons" and it's a really beautiful story. I enjoy the keys and the repetition. find it here https://klaps.bandcamp.com/album/natures-got-away

Henry the Fiordland crested penguin turned up in Akaroa in January 2015 and didn't want to go away again. These penguins are the second or third rarest in the world and have a small breeding range from Stewart Island, around Fiordland to South Westland. Henry was having some respiratory problems while preparing to be returned to the wild so here he is being fed before being sent to Wellington Zoo's The Nest for specialist care. While there, he will become acquainted with Gari, the Fiordland crested penguin that went up to the Nest in December. Gari has since undergone five operations to sort out a variety of problems caused by a seal bite. Big thanks to Talleys in Greymouth for some very tender skipjack tuna, to New World in Hokitika for some brill fillets, to locals John, Kate and John for more fish (he was very hungry!), to Ellery's for some spare huge boxes and to the Hokitika Guardian for supplying plenty of newspaper for Henry's temporary home.

One of the rarest penguins in the world, it has been an honour and a challenge to look after him. He's on his way to Wellington Zoo's The Nest for some specialist care and preparation for release back to the wild.
