This is a video compilation of some successful trials recorded during practice sessions with the the Brain-actuated Directional Robot (BADR), developed for a course project in the University of Florida by Islam Badreldin. The practice sessions took place on December 7th, 8th, and 9th, 2014 in preparation for the final demonstration of the robot during the Media Day. In this test setup, each trial begins with the robot and the target in arbitrary locations, and the goal is to drive the robot to hit the target. By default, the robot is moving forward while doing obstacle avoidance in order not to hit the 'walls'. By volitionally modulating the attention/relaxation cognitive state, the user can steer the robot clockwise or counter-clockwise at specific moments. This is a basic demonstration of a cognitive brain-computer interface developed using off-the-shelf components. sites.google.com/site/badr5666eel/

We chose to feature downtown Huntsville in ADJ's nationwide "Tag It With Light" "Light Bombing" competition. While we didn't win the contest, we still had a blast making the video. Thank you Huntsville for the great turn out and all the support. A special thank you to Downtown Huntsville Inc, Joel with Bilby Films, Keith with AVO Communications, Keith with KBZ Photography, Brad Nelms with 4Wall, Mitch Payne, and Justin Young for all of your hard work and support during this project! This is a concept of embedded gym (eGym) using concepts of Internet of Things, Smart Grid and Gamification. The ultrasonic sensor is capable of measuring the load selected as well as counting the number of repetitions and, consequently, sets the user has done. The acquired data is sent to a database in a remote server and this data can be used for motivational purposes using gamification. This is a final coursework of Physical Computing built by Fabrício Ferreira and Gustavo Arcanjo. Goldsmiths, University of London, March 2014. Special thanks to Giulia Rinaldis and Club Pulse staff.
