Trailer project. The film that I've chosen to make a trailer out of John Wick. What I wanted to do was create a heavy action trailer, that just let's you know that this is a revenge movie, and that it has tons of action. I've heavily used jump cuts in time with the music, that jump back and forth between action, and preparation. The song is a cover of The Prodigy's "Firestarter" by Torre Florim, All copyrighted material used was used in a non-profit manner and all rights reserved go to their respected owners.

Nitehawk presents a special one night screening with Abrams Books of Wes Anderson’s THE GRAND BUDAPEST HOTEL in celebration of Matt Zoller Seitz’s new book The Grand Budapest Hotel. Book signing with Matt Zoller Seitz in Nitehawk’s Lo-Res Bar from 8-9pm. The Grand Budapest Hotel available for sale. Seitz will also introduce the film! Golden Globe winner for Best Picture Comedy/Musical and nominated for nine Academy Awards (including Best Picture), Wes Anderson’s The Grand Budapest Hotel recounts the adventures of Gustave H, a legendary concierge at a famous European hotel between the wars, and Zero Moustafa, the lobby boy who becomes his most trusted friend. The story involves the theft and recovery of a priceless Renaissance painting and the battle for an enormous family fortune — all against the back-drop of a suddenly and dramatically changing Continent. In the new book, The Grand Budapest Hotel, through a series of interviews with Seitz, Anderson shares the story behind the film’s conception, personal anecdotes about the making of the film, and the wide variety of sources that inspired it—from author Stefan Zweig to filmmaker Ernst Lubitsch to photochrom landscapes from turn-of-the-century Middle Europe. The book also features critical essays by Ali Arikan, Steven Boone, David Bordwell, Olivia Collette, and Christopher Laverty; interviews with costume designer Milena Canonero, composer Alexandre Desplat, lead actor Ralph Fiennes, production designer Adam Stockhausen, and cinematographer Robert Yeoman; and an introduction by playwright Anne Washburn. Previously unpublished behind-the-scenes photos, ephemera, and artwork illustrate these interviews and essays. The cover is designed by graphic artist Max Dalton, who also illustrated the cover for Seitz’s previous book, The Wes Anderson Collection, that will also be available for sale at the event!

This technique is perhaps borrowed from The Exorcist 30 years previously, in which a distressed, screaming face (here, of Charlotte Gainsbourg's character) flashes up momentarily among the passing views of trees/nature. Von Trier makes several nods to the horror genre in Antichrist that really get under your skin. For educational purposes only. Protected under Fair Use copyright laws.
