To find out more sign up for our newsletter and you will be the first to hear about our new online menstruality programmes starting in 2015. Visit www.redschool.net Menstruality is the female life process of menarche, the menstrual cycle, menopause and the mature years. It is the woman’s ground, ‘the mother cycle’, out of which rises the initiatory path to motherhood that is conception, pregnancy, birth and breastfeeding. Menstruality describes the precise and multi–layered biological, psychological and spiritual system of evolution within the female body. Menstruality is the actual lived experience of this process, the knowledge that a woman accumulates or grows down into, and the field consciousness that this embodied knowledge generates. www.redschoolonline.net © Alexandra Pope and Sjanie Hugo Wurlitzer 2013

Labyrinth marking and walking has been a practice of the Gestare Art Collective which they have shared widely with a network of sisters in spirit in Canada and the US. It is a contemplative practice that supports the women at times of change in their lives, that provides a space for meditation and reflection and remains a place of connection in time/space for the women who live in distant locations. Barbara Bickel invited the women to join her in a labyrinth marking and walking on June 11, 2013 during a visit to Vancouver. Barbara's professional life was taking a new turn and her desire for the event was to infuse her new journey with their wise women spirits. I arrived that same day at Gibraltar Point Centre for the Arts in Ontario, and created a co-event marking and walking a sand labyrinth on the Toronto Islands beach in parallel time with the Vancouver group.

Hilary Hart wrote one of my favorite books: The Unknown She Her writing and teaching focus on women's spiritual power and the role it can play in our global evolution. "Is there a dimension of divine wisdom particularly natural to women? And if so, what role is it playing in the spiritual evolution of humanity?" While she dived into these questions in "The Unknown She", Hilary's upcoming book "Body of Wisdom" is a way for women to gain support and confidence in what women see and know. Hilary writes that this book hopes to be like a circle of women, reflecting and affirming what is real within us. I hope this interview will inspire you as much as it inspired me! Hilary's call is bold and clear, and I feel called to amplify it. IT IS TIME FOR WOMEN TO GATHER AND SPEAK COLLECTIVELY WHAT WE KNOW IN OUR BODIES AND HEARTS.
