Call to action PSA for Toronto’s YMCA. Last year we got the opportunity to work with MacLaren McCann/Edge Productions on this animated PSA for Toronto’s YMCA. The concept behind it was to shed some light on the little known support services that the Y offers. Although we concentrate on work for art and culture organization/projects we were glad to work on this project with a major ad agency because we feel very strongly about efforts to build a healthy community with stable support systems. Many thanks to the folks at MacLaren Edge Productions for letting us be a part of this. Pathways for Youth is an effort to create the next generation of public lands stewards and National Park Service employees. This is the first film I made for a youth leadership and job training program called Grow Dat. Grow Dat is a youth farm located in City Park New Orleans, LA. While employed, students participate in educational activities that address a range of issues, from nutrition and health, to social justice and food access. 60% of the produce they grow is sold to local markets, 40% is donated directly to their community.
