1. Alchemistry (18 stars) Part 2 of 5

This is the second of 5 fills in one alchem session. In this section I only filled 3 colours. I ensured that I didn't fill the last colour in a bottle in case it only earned 2 stars. I also had a chance to fill two green bottles. The green in this case is worth more "points" because it uses non adjacent primary colours.

This is fill 4 of my alchem session. In this video I demonstrate why I have separated the video into the 5 parts: I take my time following the possible paths to conserve my moves. Often I get down to 0 moves left. Many times I have started a path only to realize it was impossible then run out of moves. I wasn't able to figure out how to use the multifill to finish off the 3 blues in the middle bottle. This is the reason, there is a lot of thinking time. I have a quicksilver symbol and plan on using it the next round to fill all the bottles at once for a Voodoo. Keeping this in mind, I make sure I have enough bottles with only 1 colour left (in this case I filled 1 earlier and only need 5 bottles to complete).

This is fill number 3 of 5 in one alchem session. I hadn't realized my area selection doesn't include the bottles at the very bottom. This fill produced the first full bottle which ended up with 3 stars. Usually, I try to fill as many colours in the bottles throughout the rounds without actually completeing bottles. I find that results in more stars overall.

This is the final fill of my alchem session. I didn't include in my window selection the section of filled bottles at the very bottom. There is one full bottles and 5 more to go. I start of this fill with quicksilver and more than 5 bottles with on colour left. It is the perfect setup for a Voodoo. I have tried a voodoo in the middle of a session without any advantage. I ended up with 2 stars in filled bottles that started off with 3 gleams. In my experience it is best to have as many different colours in one fill that you can. And to save completely filling any bottle until the very end (when possible).

This is the first in a series of alchem videos. Each of the 5 videos represents the 5 fills of one alchem session. I try to fill at least 4 colours per round. If there are moves left, I clean up the remaining pipes: I use up all the tiny curvy bits that are a nuicance when they make their way to the bottom and the larger single curvy pipes, and I try to make sure any non-essential cross overs are not filled with a colour.
