To watch the Doritos video: http://www.learningdslrvideo.com/doritos-tv-commercial/ (2nd video on page) Over the weekend my neighbor Miguel Hernandez and I shot and edited a Doritos TV commercial for the Superbowl. Our video is part of a contest that Doritos has each year and if you win you get something like a million dollars and a trip to the Superbowl. We did this video pretty fast and while it is not perfect it was a ton of fun to make. I also learned a lot in the process. It is funny when you have actors you tend to get flustered and forget to do simple things like white balance and set the right picture style. Oh, well. But we all had a ton of fun and ate way too much Doritos. Editing the commercial on Premiere Pro worked great. Especially having my neighbor sitting right next to me and not having to tell him it will look a lot better after we render it. Oh and check out the Coyote that just went by my window. I have not posted our video to the Doritos site yet, check back later and I will have it posted sometime today. I think you can comment on the video there.

I caught up with an old friend of mine and did a brand profile for his clothing brand Seeking The Throne. Their designs are dope and they're most definitely good people. This was my first shoot with a Zoom H1 and it worked out great! (drains batteries really fast though.) If you're looking for a portable tripod, then there's no shortage of choice. But the gorillapod stands out from the crowd. It's bendy legs are designed to wrap around objects, which makes it more versatile the a simple tabletop tripod. Well that's the idea, but will photographyin the real world back up the theory? www.gavtrain.com
