Thierry Humeau is a director of photography and owner of Télécam Films, a full production company located in Georgetown, Washington DC. In the late 80s, he started as a photojournalist with Sigma Photo Agency in Paris. A few years later, Thierry moved to the US and migrated to TV & Film production. He has traveled around the globe for often, difficult and challenging assignments covering current affairs, humanitarian, education and development issues. His work can be seen worldwide in award winning television programs on networks such as National Geographic TV and Aljazeera English TV. He also consults with Sony and AVID Technology on the development and testing of large sensor cameras and file based editing products. Thierry also pursued a 10-year career in the sport of whitewater kayaking culminating with a participation in the 1992 summer Olympic Games.
