Doc is a creative spirit whose career began in the performing arts, and whose creative ambitions have led him into writing, directing, and producing fields with equal passion. His performance career has taken him up and down the East Coast to a number of respected theatre/performance companies for over twelve years. His early career also spilled over into stage production, talent agency administration, and Arts management. Doc has produced numerous performance projects, one-man theatrical productions, and developed original curriculum, performances, and workshops for a number K-12schools, universities and organizations. His career has spanned from serving as a principle dancer & drummer for Ayolowa West African Dance Company to national television appearances. He recently set his individual pursuits aside to serve as the Executive Artistic Director & Founder of an Alabama nonprofit Arts organization called The Layman Group. While leading the organization, he directed a long list of artistic productions, to include: original contemporary theatre productions, fine art exhibits, contemporary dance productions, TEDx performances, multimedia projects, public art showings, and an original music series. Doc is currently the host and producer of the On Beauty with Doc Waller web series show, and executive creative director of an upcoming news and media community called Public Avenue. Doc has garnered his polished, professional approach to his work from serving a four year stint in the United States Air Force as a command level Executive Assistant.
