Raja Kelly, a native Texan, is a 2004 Governor’s School of the Arts Scholar for Theater Studies. Raja has also been awarded with three first place National Forensic League Championships in 2005, two Bates Dance Festival Merit Scholarhips, Two American Dance Festival Merit Scholarships, is a 2009 DanceWEB Scholar (Vienna, Austria) and has received a New York Dance & Performance Award (”Bessie”) for performing in Kyle Abraham/ Abraham.in.motion’s THE RADIO SHOW. Kelly’s company thefeath3rtheory has ben recently presented at Dance New Amsterdam and The Construction Company in New York City. Currently. Kelly lives between NY, NY and Seattle, WA as a company member with David Dorfman Dance, Race Dance, Christopher Williams Dance, Malcolm Low/Formal Structure and zoe | juniper. Kelly has been a guest artist at the University of Virginia, Pittsburgh University, Dance New Amsterdam, and most recently at Coker College and Memphis U, teaching his own choreography and setting the reparatory David Dorfman Dance. Kelly is a co-founding co-producer of a summer dance showcase in Bushwick, Brooklyn called RoofTop Dance, a contributor to the Dance Enthusiast and is company manager for Race Dance and zoe | juniper. Kelly holds a BA with Magna Cum Laude Honors in Dance and English from Connecticut College.
