I am an Instructional Technology Resource Teacher (ITRT) for Hanover County Public Schools. My teaching career spans more than 17 years through various elementary schools located in Las Vegas, Nevada; Memphis, Tennessee; Staunton, Virginia; and Mechanicsville, Virginia. My teaching experience includes year-round, single-gender, high poverty, ESL, looping and flipped teaching approaches. I hold a master's degree in Educational Leadership from James Madison University and licensure as a PreK-12 Administrator. I am also a SMART Exemplary Educator, SMART Certified Lesson Designer, Graphite Certified Educator, Edmodo Support Ambassador, and present at local, state, and international conferences. Most recently, I presented an Ignite session at the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) conference in Atlanta (June, 2014). When not engaging with my PLN through social media outlets, I blog about random acts of kindness (celebratekindness.wordpress.com) and create digital recipe guides (snapguide.com/tamara-letter).
