Christine Shallenberg makes performances exploring the ways in which language, bodies and technology intersect to create interesting conversations. She finds conversations interesting when they contain enough pauses for all parties involved to speak and be heard, and also when they contain surprises! She is currently making a dance about grounding from three perspectives: spiritual, electrical and locational. In the past, she has done a lot of lighting design for dance and has travelled around the world with some really amazing people. She is also currently teaching wearables and soft computing at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
