My name is Jonathan David Pollock. I was born in the small town of Cairo, Georgia. I grew up however in an even smaller town nearby named Pelham, Georgia. There my family owns a small business called Wholesale Tire Company. We retail tires at our Pelham site and wholesale used tires to three states.
I began playing and taking piano lessons when I was six years old. My parents also played. My dad, Ricky Pollock, was a music pastor at the time. So throughout my childhood we moved around the South quite a bit. We primarily stayed in south Georgia and south Alabama. However in the end, we moved back to Pelham to be with the rest of our family.
Now, Cleveland, Tennessee is where I live. I call Lee University my second home away from Pelham. I play piano for the chapel services at Lee and other events on campus. I also enjoy helping lead worship at churches around the greater Chattanooga area. However, the main church I play at is Christway Church in Ottlewah, Tennessee.
A majority of my musical expertise comes from traveling professionally under Sony artist, Phil Stacey. Under his leadership, I traveled to every corner of America bringing Christian entertainment and a worship experience to churches and Christian events.
At Lee University, I am currently finishing my Telecommunication’s Bachelors Degree. This degree allows me to create crisp music, stunning videos, and dynamic websites for the world web. It also is making me well rounded in my understanding of music. I am grateful to my Professors who have shared their knowledge with my colleagues and I.
Studying at Lee, I met my future bride, Lindsay Reed. Our wedding date is June 22, 2013, and I am counting down the days until she can share my last name.
My favorite verse is Phil. 4:13. “I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength.” I started out a boy from a small town with a dream. Now my dreams are becoming reality, and I give God all the glory.
