Tree Of Life United Ministries is dedicated to teaching the Word and the Way of Jesus Christ. Tree Of Life United Ministries holds firm to the belief that these teachings are the definitive word of the Lord and have not been adequately represented within the existing paradigm of religion. We seek to fill a void created by the misappropriation of authority within the Church as it exists today. As Jesus taught us, we are committed to social justice and equality for all of God's children. We foster individual empowerment by encouraging all members to understand their personal relationship with God, to which we are all entitled. Within the community, our intent is to grow in faith and share our faith with the world around us and to have an "open door church", actively reaching out to and welcoming all persons. We will provide opportunities for service, worship, outreach and improvement in our community as well as the larger community of which we are all a part.
Although Tree Of Life United Ministries began as a local ministry it is evolving into a national movement. As God's children we must reach out to each other with compassion, love, tolerance, acceptance and forgiveness. As the great Martin Luther King Jr. said, "The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy. The true neighbor will risk his position, his prestige and even his life for the welfare of others." We are prone to judge success by the index of our salaries or the size of our automobiles, rather than by the quality of our service relationship to humanity.”
Tree Of Life United Ministries is committed to bringing God's light and love to all of humanity. We must reach out and help to lift others out of poverty, we must help to feed the hungry and house the homeless. We must fight for those who cannot fight for themselves. We must fight hate and bigotry. We must be the change if we want to see the change. Help to make our world a better place for all of God's children. Gandhi said, "You may never know what results come of your action, but if you do nothing there will be no result." The world is a dangerous place, not because of those who do evil, but because of those who look on and do nothing. As Nelson Mandela taught us, "Overcoming poverty is not a task of charity, it is an act of justice. Like slavery and apartheid, poverty is not natural. It is man-made and it can be overcome and eradicated by the actions of human beings. Sometimes it falls on a generation to be great. YOU can be that great generation. Let your greatness blossom.” It is time for change, it is time for hope, it is time for all of us to work together for the common good of all humanity. Join the movement and make a difference today.
