Manuela Ruggeri is a video journalist, filmmaker and video pedagogue based in Zurich. While collecting her first experiences at First Hand Films, an international distributor for documentaries and independent fiction, she was producing and directing short documentaries portraits and corporate videos. After that she worked at ican films as production manager and assistant for more than three years, helping producing the feature length documentaries SEED WARRIORS and VIRGIN TALES. At the same time she was part time scientific collaborator at the Institute of Design and Art Research Basel, filming and editing for the project Disclosing New Worlds, a research about the organizational skills of the creative economy. Currently she is researching for the new documentary of swiss-canadian director Léa Pool produced by Catpics and is member of the selection commettee at Visions du Réel in Nyon.
