Franklin Martin is a filmmaker from Kingston Springs, Tennessee. He is also a writer, actor and producer. He's spent the last 7 years directing and producing, Hurricane Season:Walking on Dead Fish, Long Shot:The Kevin Laue Story and the Charlize Theron narrated documentary, Angels In Exile..
As president of Dutchmen Films, he has four projects in development and has recently started spending time acting, something he missed during the last 7 years making his films and writing several scripts, two of which were optioned.
Franklin's films are uplifting and give hope to humanity. Trying to be truthful to the core, Martin often risks aesthetic composition for on the fly, verite filmmaking. He will write, direct and act in all three of his upcoming projects. A short drama, WEST 4TH, a heart stopping thriller, Lost Bayou and Long Shot., based on his upcoming documentary that Tom Brokaw called, "Beautifully made and told."
Franklin also played and coached basketball on the NCAA Division One level. His company name, Dutchmen Films was named after his alma mater's team the Hofstra Dutchmen.
