Duas Mariola Filmes is a Rio de Janeiro based company focused in experimental and authoral films since 2006. It was founded by a group of friends, between them Felipe Bragança, Marina Meliande and Daniel Caetano. They have produced or co‐produced five feature films and eight shorts, all screened at international film festivals around the world, including Cannes, Venice, Oberhausen and Locarno.
Duas Mariola believes that it is possible to innovate language and storytelling in Brazilian filmmaking today, creating partnerships with other independent production companies, as well as with established Brazilian film companies. They are now starting a new cycle of works planning to produce their new own films in the next years as directors but also to start to co‐produce and develop the ideas of other Brazilian young directors’ projects.
