Lisa Klappe (Eindhoven, 1979) is a contemporary photographer focussing on design and people. After graduating at Amsterdam Photo Academy in 2006, she has been working home and abroad as an independent photographer, filmer and editor. Her works are staged registrations of the way she sees, discovers and experiences every day life. With a clear eye for detail she creates a subtle tension between beauty and repulsiveness. In that way even ugliness becomes aesthetical, but never without telling a story.
