I'm a freelance producer and visual journalist with clients including the Associated Press, Bloomberg, GlobalPost and Al Jazeera. Before diving into the freelance world, I worked for the Associated Press as the lead Asia Interactive Producer in charge of producing online visual content from Tokyo to New Delhi for AP clients. I've lead the creation of interactive media for big Asia stories such as the 2011 Japan earthquake and tsunami, the rise of North Korea's Kim Jong Un, U.S. primary elections, Thailand floods and Bangladesh's garment industry crises. My work in Asia has won two golds at the Asia Digital Media Awards while other team projects I contributed to at AP garnered a Malofiej bronze and two Associated Press Managing Editors Association prizes. My photography has won a couple of prizes from the NPPA. I've also taught or coached short courses at Internews, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, WAN-IFRA, Chulalongkorn University and Thammasat University.
