A dedicated athlete, coach and educator, Dan opened bodyfitz in July, 2001 to share with others his passion for fitness, health and recreation. Throughout high school and college, Dan participated in track and field, throwing shot put, discus and javelin. He played football for the University of Connecticut Huskies and pursued a coaching career in high school track and football while teaching physical education. Dan earned a bachelor’s of science degree in physical education from Southern Connecticut State University and a master’s degree in educational leadership from Central Connecticut State University. He has been certified by the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) and the American Council on Exercise (ACE). His passion is to be a part of helping people improve their well being through personal training, coaching, and by example. Now in his fith decade Dan finds himself in a new “age group” in sport. Dan loves the sport of cycling and triathlon, and has competed for years in both.
“Three a day footbal practices” at UConn seem easy compared to a triathlon, and especially easy compared to the “Six Gap Century” in the Georgia mountains. None of this would be possible nor enjoyable without the total body conditioning that he puts himself through, as well as his clients at bodyfitz. Train Smarter.Live Better.
