When I develop the concept for a video, I listen deeply to the needs of the client, though I also listen deeply to the audience they want to reach, even when that audience may be indifferent or even antagonistic to their message. Putting myself in the audience's seat, I honestly assess how the client's message might reach me and make me pay attention.
