Cheryl Walpole is a licensed Creative Arts Therapist working at New York Presbyterian Hospital with adults living with psychotic disorders as well as private practice primarily serving children and adults with a focus on art and verbal psychotherapy. Cheryl is also currently a teaching artist and photographer.
Her past work experiences have been diverse and dynamic which include Art Therapist for adult inpatient psychiatry at Bellevue Hospital, event planning for various philanthropic organizations, product development manager at Ralph Lauren and photo assistant for Macy's Federated.
The combination of her corporate, artistic and clinical experience has groomed her to follow her passion to create and serve others. After traveling to Africa in 2009 and co founding Art Therapy: New York to Namibia she decided to restructure but always with the intention of returning Namibia and expanding beyond.
Children's World Art Initiative will facilitate artistic workshops and exhibitions for children near and far.
