Drive Out Suicide is a suicide prevention awareness campaign created by the Pennsylvania Adult/Older Adult Suicide Prevention Coalition. From September 2013 through May 2014, volunteer drivers representing different regions of the state drove around normally with a window cling on their cars' back windshields. The window clings contained a message of hope, the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline number (1-800-273-8255), and the web address for the campaign which links to additional resources and information (driveoutsuicide.org). By May 2014, almost 100 Pennsylvanians participated in the campaign as drivers including suicide survivors, mental health professionals, dedicated community members, and individuals dealing with their own mental health issues.
