Tine Thomasen is a Danish filmmaker currently based in New York City. She is a recipient of the Dean’s Fellowship from Tisch School of the Arts, where she is currently pursuing an MFA in filmmaking. With a genuine interest in people and a background in architecture, her focus is on telling emotional stories through highly visual imagery. She has written and directed several short films, recently a piece starring James Franco and Jessica Chastain in the collaborative feature film “TAR” which premiered at the 2012 International Rome Film Festival. Her most recent directorial participation in the multi media performance ‘Birdshit’ included working with renowned artist Marina Abramović. The piece premiered at the MoMa PS1 Dome in April 2013.
