Roy Staab studied art at Layton School of Art and got a BFA from the University of Wisconsin. LIved in Europe for ten years, the 1970s starting with installations on walls in Port Vendres, France, 1979. He relocated in 1980 continuing making line geometry on paper and starting 'Arte Povera' installation in New York City. In 1983 he went to the sea shore and used reeds for his ephemeral art in tidal estuary and water at high tide. Roy Staab makes art-in-nature using natural materials in many places around the world.
