Jennifer Cockrall-King is an Edmonton-based writer specializing in food, urban issues, and culture. She is the author of Food and the City: Urban Agriculture and the New Food Revolution (Prometheus Books, 2012), and is an urban gardener with a serious fixation on growing food in urban spaces. Jennifer is the “Consumption” columnist for the award-winning national magazine, Eighteen Bridges, and she is the founder of the Okanagan Food & Wine Writers’ Workshop. She tweets from @jennifer_ck and updates her site foodgirl.ca far too infrequently.
