As the director of video for Teach For America, Megan Rossman leads a team that travels the country to create digital narratives about teachers, students, schools and communities. Before joining Teach For America, Rossman worked as a multimedia journalist at The Washington Post, where she created photo, video and audio stories.

In 2011, she won a regional Emmy for her video “Unfinished Business: Earth Day, 40 Years Later.” In 2009, the White House News Photographers Association awarded her first place in the feature audio slideshow category for her work on “A Mother’s Risk.” That project was recognized as a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize in international reporting.

A 2008 graduate of Rochester Institute of Technology, Rossman has taught multimedia journalism at schools including Columbia University, Georgetown University and the University of Maryland, and she has served as a mentor on the National Lesbian & Gay Journalists Association’s student training project since 2010.
