Born in Barcelona in 1975, Ferran Paredes Rubio studied photography at I.E.F.C. (Institut d’Estudis Fotogràfics de Catalunya) and started to work as a press photographer.
His pictures are published in many spanish newspapers as ‘La Vanguardia’ and ‘El Pais’..
In 1998 moved to London, where he worked as a staff photographer for REUTERS News Agency.
In 2003 decided to study cinematography and moved to Rome, where he graduated as a cinematographer from the course led by Giusepe Rotunno (ASC. AIC) at Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia, Italian prestigious National Film
He has attended many cinematography workshops held by acclaimed cinematographers such as Roger Deakins (A.S.C., B.S.C), Dante Spinotti (A.S.C., A.I.C) and Bruno Delbonnel (A.S.C., A.F.C).
In 2011 he has won Best Cinematography at the Maverick Movie Awards of Hollywood for his work in ‘Hayfever’ (Febbre da Fieno) directed by Laura Luchetti.
