FILMS AND OTHER DISTRACTIONS...
JD is a freelance filmmaker, photographer and creative director working across narrative, documentary and corporate fields.
Based in the UK, his time is divided between producing and directing films (his most recent short It's Natural To Be Afraid played 27 festivals, winning a total of 7 awards), editing feature television documentaries, writing and performing in a live comedy sketch show, leading a 1950's rock 'n' roll band, and running a creative co-working design, film and photography studio in his hometown of Luton.
In 2014 he built and opened a jazz and blues speakeasy called The Bear Club.
He co-founded the much loved and missed Filmstock International Film Festival at the age of 20. The festival ran for a planned 11 events, including festival spin-offs in Hungary, London and at Glastonbury. He keeps close ties with the festival scene, recently serving on the Indie Memphis jury.
He is currently working with his long term collaborator on their slate of feature film projects.
