I've resisted saying something here about making video clips for fear of sounding silly or pretentious, but now that I've made more than a hundred, I've come to recognize that the end result, the video clip itself, has not been the point. Gerhard Richter put it nicely when he concluded that his incapacity to "form a picture of something" was not a failing. "Life is not what is said but the saying of it, not the picture but the picturing."
Who could not like this. It makes me very glad to have found it.
