I explore the negative space between movements. The synthesis of my training as a classical dancer and architect has sculpted a scrutiny of movement and behavior patterns.
In turn, I subtly choreograph and provoke movement in a space. My work is dependent upon exploration. Procession and progression allows a concept to mature through accumulation. Eventually the viewer is absorbed and incorporated, becoming part of the work.
My work uses individual layers, arranging them to create a sense of depth, mass and density. I currently work within the disciplines of painting, drawing, architecture, film and new media but the process of creating a new piece dictates the appropriate medium.
I am a native of Wisconsin and currently live and work in Brooklyn, NY.
