Christopher Kostrzak was raised in Chicago and now snatches breaths between adventures in dirty pretty Los Angeles.
Over the years, Kostrzak has earned his keep as a producer, director, journalist, screenwriter, videographer, photographer, editor, DJ, composer and host for the likes of 42 Entertainment, Anonymous Content, Crash TV, Tru TV, Fondue Films, Sakebomb.com, Spike Jonez, Moviemaker Magazine, Film Zone, Animation World Network, luxury lingerie line Le Sang Bleu, and more. His work has been featured at the Cincinnati Contemporary Arts Center, Apex Art in New York City, in zines and blogs like Vice, The Eastsider, Scene Trash, Nerdy Frames and Get Weird Turn Pro. He's also gotten mentions in NME, Time Out New York, The Chicago Sun Times, and NBC.com, and had his days as a young bon vivant chronicled by The Independent.
Most recently, Kostrzak worked as a Producer and Director on 42 Entertainment's groundbreaking "Random Acts of Fusion" Campaign for Ford Motor Company.
Random Acts of Fusion starred Joel McHale and Ryan Seacrest, and through the use of transmedia storytelling, gave people an opportunity to take part in once-in-a-lifetime experiences with the 2013 Ford Fusion before its arrival in dealer showrooms.
Kostrzak is also the executive producer of "American Design Haus," starring celebrity custom fashion designer Lauren Bradley, Sleepnever.com, and the co-creator and executive producer of "The Butcher's Daughter," a travel/cooking show featuring Julia Jaksic, (executive chef of Employees Only, Jack's Wife Freda and Gallow Green) most recently in development at Animal Planet through Karga Seven Pictures.
Kostrzak’s short “The Lovebirds” appeared at the Cincinnati Contemporary Arts Center in February of 2011 and in February and March of 2009 at Apex Art Gallery in New York City as part of the “Kick My Heart’s Ass: Short Films About Love” show curated by Davy Rothbart of NPR and Found Magazine.
In 2009 and 2010, he was director of The Top Floor Live, the world’s first interactive webcam dance party produced by MTV Networks and Levi’s which most recently featured a live performance by top Billboard recording artist Solange. The show is currently in development at MTV Networks.
During the summer of 2008, Kostrzak toured the U.S. and Canada and simultaneously produced and released a duo of the first ever “ride along” downloadable documentaries “Seize The Days” for Atlantic Recording Artist Kill Hannah and “The Last Road Trip” for Sleepnever.com. Kill Hannah’s companion DVD of “Seize the Days” was released in December 2009.
